Lidergraf, a Graphic Arts and Printing company, was established in
September 1994. In 2001 changed to new facilities, where it has a
totally digital prepress department, the latest CTP (Computer-To-Plate)
technology, an offset rotative machine, 50
printing bodies in offset machines to produce forms, labels, and has a
finishing stage with a high level of automation.
Since its establishment, Lidergraf has been
very concerned about Quality and Environment. In this scope, the
company is ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 certified, and very soon will achieve
the environmental certification ISO 14001.
In the context of
substituting the actual Information System, Lidergraf,
in 2005, chose Sistrade – Angulusridet Informática,
S.A. to
be its I.T. partner and ordered the system Sistrade® Print.

How does Sistrade® PRINT fits into Lidergraf’s
strategic decisions in terms of investment?
Next summer, Lidergraf celebrates its 12 years of existence. Since
its establishment, the evolution process is characterized by an
exponential growth in almost all its dimensions. However, in terms of
I.T., we’ve had somewhat fuzzy strategy until last year. The
actual scenery in this area is characterized
by a set of applications, supported in distinct platforms in which the
integration level is very low or inexistent. Aware of this inefficiency,
in 2005 we looked for a partner with an integral solution that could
solve our problems. From the available alternatives in the market,
Sistrade and the ERP Sistrade® Print, was clearly the best solution and
thus its choice.
Which are
the major investment guidelines for 2006 and 2007?
The key still remains: To invest
in order to grow. In the last four years the investment was higher than
15 million euros and in the near future we intend to maintain this
policy. Beyond information technologies, we will invest in the commercial
area, directing it to the Iberian market, and we will continue to
expand the production capacity in terms of rotative
printing.
What took Lidergraf to select Sistrade® PRINT as the integrated management system?
Facing Lidergraf’s
actual problems, the integrated system issue is critical. However we
had the option to choose between a generalist system like SAP or a specific (for Graphic Arts and Printing
Industry) like Sistrade® Print. We quickly concluded that our reality, mainly
in terms of Estimating, would be very difficult to be represented in a
generalist ERP. Other than that, we were faced with some problems in
integrating generalist solutions with workflows based in the new
industry standard for information exchange- the JDF. So being, the
option for Sistrade® Print seemed the most obvious, not only for
the solution’s quality, but also for the expertise and quality
shown until now by Sistrade’s team.
