SISTRADE 2007 Innovation Sessions, took place on the November 29 th, at Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisbon. This event, hosted by SISTRADE, had speakers from Kodak (AutoGráfica), INESC Porto and Multisector (Presenting QREN), and issues like Efficiency, Innovation and Financing where presented and discussed. In the audience were companies, press and other players from Printing and Packaging Industry.
This event’s main goal was to speak out to Printing and Packaging Managers about new issues on CIP4 (Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress) JDF* Technology (Job Definition Format). SISTRADE and KODAK presentations targeted “what is JDF?”, giving examples, and JDF’s roll on Printing and Packaging Industry future. SISTRADE presented new SISTRADE® Print JDF CIP4 feature which allows getting “Job Ticket”, generated by JDF, and proceeding with needed information to produce that job order product.
INESC Porto presented Importance of Technological Innovation as a differentiating issue, identifying opportunities and solutions for implementing an Innovation Policy in any company.
Multisector presented QREN (Quadro de Referência Estratégico Nacional), which is a government project to assist Portuguese companies towards to Innovation, Modernization and Internationalization, improving their competitiveness in Global Markets through productivity and flexibility increasing and time response reduction.
Finally, first SISTRADE’s Innovation Sessions appears with final objective to generate a reference in Printing and Packaging Industry as a space of Discussion and Innovation.
